Park City, Utah- The United States Ski Team will feature two current skiers and one alum from the University of Alaska Anchorage for the 2026-27 season.
Current UAA ski team members Corbin Carpenter and Murphy Kimball will be members of the D-Team.
Carpenter, a native of Carbondale, Colorado, represented Team USA at the 2026 U23 World Championships in Lillehammer, Norway placing 10th in the 20-kilometer freestyle and 13th in the 10-kilometer classic. He earned a pair of All-American honors in 2026 finishing fifth in the 7.5-kilometer classic and sixth in the 20-kilometer freestyle at the NCAA National Championships.
Kimball, a native of Anchorage, returns as a member of the D Team and has appeared in six World Cup races for the United States. He has competed for Team USA at the World Junior Championships in 2025 and 2026, finishing sixth in the freestyle sprint at the 2026 Championships in Lillehammer, Norway.
JC Schoonmaker returns to the A-Team. The native of Tahoe City, California, has represented the United States in 89 World Cup races, with one podium finish, since his debut in Dresden, Germany in 2020. He has represented the United States at the Olympics twice (2022 and 2026) and at three World Championships (2021, 2023, 2025). Schoonmaker was a was a three-time All-American as a member of the UAA ski team from 2018-22.
