William Woods University announces schedule of activities for historic first-ever Fall Homecoming

Fulton, MO - For the first time in its 154-year history, William Woods University (WWU) is hosting a traditional, Fall Homecoming celebration later this month. Today, the University announced the official schedule of activities for the event, which is taking place from Thursday, October 24 through Saturday, October 26 on the WWU campus in Fulton.

"A year of unprecedented firsts at The Woods, including the largest incoming class in University history and the inaugural season of Owls intercollegiate football, continues this month with the first-ever Fall Homecoming observance on our campus," said Dr. Jeremy Moreland, President of William Woods University. "Homecoming has of course been a traditional part of university campus life in the United States for decades, and we are thrilled that our alums and campus community will now get to experience what has become a cherished American autumn tradition right here at William Woods. I look forward to welcoming "home" all Owl alumni, and all who love The Woods, for Homecoming '24!"

For decades, the University has held a Spring alumni gathering in conjunction with Westminster College, Alumni Weekend, each April. With the addition of Fall Homecoming, William Woods alumni and supporters will now have two observances each year on campus.
