Polaris is contributing $25,000 to American Red Cross Disaster Relief. This gift will help the Red Cross prepare for, respond to, and help people recover from disasters big and small across the country, whenever and wherever they occur across the country.
The gift was inspired by the recent severe storms in Indiana, an area that holds a deep connection for the company. Elkhart, Indiana is home to Polaris' Bennington and Godfrey Pontoon manufacturing facilities, which employ many Polaris team members, who live and work in the surrounding communities affected by the recent storm. Supporting the Red Cross mission to help people affected by disasters big and small is a natural extension of Polaris' broader commitment to caring for communities recovering from disaster.
"At Polaris, showing up for communities is part of who we are," said Ben Duke, president of Polaris Marine. "We're proud to support the American Red Cross as it provides critical help to people navigating the difficult days after disasters."
The Indiana storms are just one of the 60,000 disasters the Red Cross responds to each year, and gifts to Red Cross Disaster Relief help provide shelter, meals, relief supplies, and other essential support to people affected by disasters across the country.
