The Pennsylvania State Police (PSP), in collaboration with Commonwealth University-Lock Haven University Police, will host a helicopter landing on the CU-Lock Haven campus on Thursday, Oct. 1, at noon in Parking Area 8, located in the upper lot behind Zimmerli Gymnasium.

The event is free and open to the public and will offer a unique opportunity to learn about the work of the PSP Aviation Unit and the essential role it plays in law enforcement and public safety. Attendees will hear about the unit's operations while getting a firsthand look at the technology and capabilities used in PSP aerial operations.

"We are thrilled to partner with the Pennsylvania State Police again to bring this exciting and educational experience to our campus," said Ashton Peters, CU-Lock Haven community service officer. "This event gives our students, alumni and community members an opportunity to learn more about the Pennsylvania State Police and its Aviation Unit. Last year's event was a great success, and I'm proud to help bring them back to campus again this year."

The presentation will take place during Haven Homecoming festivities, and CU-Lock Haven students, alumni, friends and members of the surrounding community are encouraged to attend.

The helicopter is scheduled to land at noon, with attendees encouraged to arrive early to view the landing.
