Stabbing - 200 block of West Broadway: On Dec. 27, 2024 at approximately 7:13 p.m., officers responded to the 200 block of West Broadway regarding a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers contacted a male adult victim with non-life-threatening stab wounds to the upper body. Long Beach Fire Department personnel transported the victim to a local hospital. The preliminary investigation indicates the victim was outside in a verbal dispute with a male adult suspect, which escalated when the suspect stabbed the victim. Officers located the suspect nearby and safely took him into custody. The suspect was identified as Frank Alvin Sessions, a 66-year-old person experiencing homelessness, who was booked for assault with a deadly weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia, obstructing a peace officer, and an outstanding warrant. Bail was set at no bail. The investigation is ongoing.
