Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Cyprus Inna Torgomyan met with Annita Demetriou, the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Cyprus Anita Dinitriou.
During the meeting, the Speaker of the House of Representatives highlighted the strong political dialogue between Armenia and Cyprus, rooted in the historically friendly ties between two peoples and a shared commitment to deepening cooperation across all areas. In this context, the importance of establishing resident embassies in both countries was underscored.
The Ambassador expressed her gratitude to the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Cyprus for the continued support and principled stance on issues concerning Armenia and the Armenian people. He emphasized the importance of strengthening relations with Cyprus at all levels, highlighting the high level of parliamentary diplomacy between the two countries, as evidenced by the upcoming visit of the Speaker of the House of Representatives to Armenia.
Issues related to cooperation in multilateral platforms were also discussed.
Vardges Mahdesyan, representative of the Armenian community in the House of Representatives of Cyprus, participated in the meeting.
