The Border Police Directorate of the Ministry of the Interior announced today that citizens travelling to European Union countries may use alternative border crossings between Serbia and EU Member States to avoid longer waiting times at border crossings, particularly during holidays and the upcoming summer season.
The Directorate recalls that the relevant authorities of the European Union began full implementation of the Entry/Exit System (EES) on 10 April, which, in addition to regular border control, envisages additional biometric checks for travellers arriving from countries that are not EU members.
A list of border crossings of the Republic of Serbia with Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and Croatia, as well as their opening hours, is available on the official website of the Ministry of the Interior.
