Chinese Ambassador to Slovenia Kang Yan Addresses Dragon Boat Race Event
On June 20, 2026, Ambassador Kang Yan attended the 14th Dragon Boat Race for the Dragon Boat Festival hosted by the Confucius Institute at the University of Ljubljana. 15 teams from across Slovenia took part in the competition.
Ambassador Kang delivered an opening address. She noted that the dragon boat racing embodies the spirit of solidarity, perseverance and striving for excellence. It serves as an important carrier for the exchange and integration of fine traditional Chinese culture and local diverse sports culture, as well as a bridge for friendly people-to-people ties between China and Slovenia.
Cultural performances and authentic Chinese cuisine featured at the event allowed local residents to experience the charm of Chinese culture.
