Company also launches Indonesia's first IOWN All-Photonics Network (APN)-powered connectivity service, APN Connect
Jakarta, Indonesia - November 3, 2026 - NTT DATA, a global leader in AI, digital business and technology services, today announced the opening of its Jakarta 2 Annex Data Center (JKT2A). The new facility expands the company's data center footprint in Asia-Pacific and strengthens its ability to support rising demand for cloud, AI and digital transformation services across Southeast Asia.
Designed as a next-generation, AI-ready facility, JKT2A delivers 12MW of IT capacity and combines advanced cooling technologies, resilient power infrastructure and carrier-neutral connectivity to support hyperscale, enterprise and high-density computing workloads.
The new facility sits within NTT Global Data Centers' Jakarta campus and extends the ecosystem established by JKT2, one of Jakarta's leading carrier-neutral connectivity hubs. JKT2 hosts more than 240 network service providers, JKT-IX, major cloud service providers and critical submarine cable connections. Through direct campus interconnection with JKT2, clients can expand their digital infrastructure while maintaining connectivity to their existing networks, partners and cloud environments.
In conjunction with the opening of JKT2A, NTT DATA is also launching APN Connect, the first service in Indonesia to leverage All-Photonics Network (APN) technology. Built on Innovative Optical and Wireless Network (IOWN®) technology, APN Connect provides high-capacity, low-latency Layer 1 connectivity between JKT2/JKT2A and JKT3, which are approximately 35km apart. The service enables real-time data synchronization across geographically separated facilities, supporting disaster recovery, data replication and resilient multi-data-center operations.
"The opening of JKT2A is an important milestone for our business in Indonesia and, more importantly, for the many clients we serve here," said Yasuhiro Kajiki, Managing Director, Japan and APAC for NTT Global Data Centers. "By expanding our capacity and connecting the facilities through APN Connect, we are creating a more connected and resilient data center platform that gives our clients greater flexibility as their infrastructure needs evolve. We are proud to continue investing in Indonesia's digital future."
"Indonesia is one of the most dynamic digital economies in Southeast Asia, and it is creating significant demand for scalable, highly connected digital infrastructure," said Doug Adams, President and CEO, NTT Global Data Centers. "The opening of JKT2A reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting clients' cloud, AI and digital transformation initiatives with resilient, high-performance infrastructure. Together with APN Connect, JKT2A strengthens our ability to deliver the scale, connectivity and reliability organizations need to accelerate innovation and growth."
JKT2A is engineered for performance, reliability and security, and features:
JKT2A is part of NTT DATA's global data center platform and expands the company's ability to offer scalable, interconnected infrastructure across key Asia-Pacific markets, supporting both local growth and global expansion strategies.
