CHANTILLY, Va. (October 14, 2026) - Parsons Corporation (NYSE: PSN) today highlighted the company's long-standing role in shaping transportation infrastructure across the Pacific Northwest. For three decades, Parsons has been a trusted partner in shaping the region's infrastructure, bringing extensive experience to bridge, tunnel, rail, roadway, transit, and aviation projects, while navigating complex, sensitive environments. Today, the company's regional portfolio includes projects that support residents, commuters, and travelers throughout the Pacific Northwest. As communities across the region continue to grow and evolve, Parsons remains focused on delivering resilient, sustainable infrastructure that supports long-term success.

"The Pacific Northwest is home to some of the nation's most unique and sensitive environments, and Parsons is proud to have helped shape the infrastructure that supports millions of residents while also protecting complex ecosystems," said Mark Fialkowski, president, Infrastructure North America for Parsons. "From iconic bridges to transformative rail and transit projects to protecting infrastructure assets, we'll continue supporting regional clients to deliver resilient infrastructure solutions that improve connectivity, support economic growth, and protect the region's unique environments."

Connecting Communities, Advancing Mobility, and Building Resilience

Parsons has helped shape the Pacific Northwest's transportation network through the delivery of complex infrastructure that improves mobility, strengthens connectivity, protects critical assets, and supports long-term community growth. Through our One Parsons approach, we bring together expertise in transportation, environmental services, water, energy, technology, security, and program management to address the broader challenges facing communities and infrastructure owners. Our work reflects a commitment to creating integrated transportation solutions that move people and goods safely, efficiently, and sustainably, while supporting resilient communities, critical infrastructure and regional economic growth.

Parsons is helping expand high-capacity transit through major investments in rail and bus rapid transit systems. As lead designer for the Federal Way Link Extension, Parsons supported the delivery of a 7.8-mile light rail extension that connects communities from SeaTac to Federal Way, extending regional transit access and enhancing mobility throughout King County, Washington. The project incorporated ambitious sustainability objectives and achieved corridor-wide Envision Platinum certification, demonstrating how transportation investments can support both mobility and environmental stewardship.

Parsons provided engineering services for the seismic, safety, and preservation study of the nearly 100-year-old Bridge of the Gods, a steel truss cantilever bridge spanning the Columbia River between Cascade Locks, Oregon, and Stevenson, Washington. The study evaluated the bridge's seismic vulnerabilities, assessed age-related deterioration, and developed a long-term preservation strategy to improve safety, resilience, and accessibility. The project included structural health monitoring, seismic and non-seismic analyses, retrofit planning, enhanced lighting design, and improvements for pedestrians and cyclists, so that this critical transportation link remains viable for future generations.

Parsons is also leading design efforts for the I-405/NE 85th Street Interchange and Inline Bus Rapid Transit Station, a transformative multimodal transportation hub being delivered for Sound Transit and the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSHDOT). The project will replace an aging cloverleaf interchange with a new three-level configuration that integrates roadway infrastructure, direct-access transit facilities, pedestrian connections, bicycle access, and tolling systems. At its center will be an inline BRT station that creates seamless connections along the I-405 corridor, strengthening regional transit options while improving safety and accessibility for all users.

Washington's transportation system is equally dependent on its major bridges and highway corridors, and Parsons has played a key role in delivering some of the state's most recognizable infrastructure. The Tacoma Narrows Bridge stands as a landmark achievement, introducing a new 5,400-foot-long suspension bridge and critical State Route 16 improvements to relieve congestion and improve regional connectivity between Tacoma and Gig Harbor. The project pioneered the use of large-scale design-build delivery for a suspension bridge and incorporated innovative wind and seismic engineering approaches to ensure long-term resilience. The bridge eliminated decades of traffic congestion while providing infrastructure capable of supporting future transportation demands.

Extending beyond mobility, Parsons' work also includes the protection and resiliency of transportation assets that are vital to local economies and communities. Along Seattle's waterfront, Parsons served as prime consultant and engineer of record for the Seattle Seawall Project, replacing a deteriorating seawall that protects critical city infrastructure while also enhancing the ecological health of Elliott Bay. The project combined waterfront protection, seismic resilience, environmental restoration, and stakeholder coordination to create a modern infrastructure asset that will safeguard Seattle's waterfront for generations.

The firm's commitment to sustainable infrastructure is further demonstrated through the US 101 Fish Barrier Removal Project on Washington's Olympic Peninsula. As lead designer, Parsons helped to restore critical fish habitat while improving the resiliency of a vital transportation corridor. By replacing fish-blocking culverts, reconstructing stream channels, and implementing innovative construction approaches that reduce traffic disruptions, the project balances environmental stewardship with transportation reliability. The effort reopened miles of upstream habitat for salmon, steelhead, bull trout, and other species while reducing long-term flood and scour risks along US 101. The project also won the American Council of Engineering Companies of Washington Best in State Silver Award for Future Value to the Engineering Profession and Enhanced Public Awareness.

Together, these projects illustrate Parsons' broad transportation expertise across the Pacific Northwest. From expanding rail and bus rapid transit networks to delivering landmark bridges, modernizing airport facilities, restoring environmental resources, and strengthening critical infrastructure, Parsons is helping create a safer, more connected, and more resilient transportation system that supports the region's communities today and into the future.

Parsons has more than half a century of experience designing, delivering, and protecting the infrastructure that connects our communities around the world, including roads and highways, bridges, passenger and freight rail, public transit, airports, and ports and waterways. The company's experience includes more than 10,000 miles of roadways, 4,500 bridges, and more than 50 advanced traffic management system deployments that help cities and states improve safety and travel efficiency while also reducing emissions and energy costs to enhance the quality of life in the communities Parsons' serves.
