Martin discusses Epstein files on French television

Sam Martin, Frank and Bethine Church Endowed Chair of Public Affairs in the School of Public Service, appeared on France 24 to discuss the renewed attention on the "Epstein files," including the House Oversight Committee's closed-door questioning of Ghislaine Maxwell. Martin explained why the political and media "suspense" around document releases often centers on which powerful figures may be exposed - while the experiences and ongoing lives of survivors can be pushed to the margins. She also discussed the ethics of victim anonymity and how newsroom choices shape whether coverage prioritizes justice for victims or reputational fallout for elites.
