SE 7th Street Asphalt Improvement Project in Rio Vista

The City of Fort Lauderdale is working with M & M Asphalt Maintenance Inc. to resurface SE 7th Street east of Ponce de Leon Drive in Rio Vista. This project includes:

• Milling and resurfacing asphalt
• Applying new pavement markings

Construction will begin on Monday, March 23, 2026, and is expected to be completed on Friday, March 27, 2026. Work will take place daily between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. The contractor will begin at Ponce de Leon Drive and travel east along SE 7th Street. This schedule is subject to change based on inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Traffic Impacts

• Neighbors are asked to refrain from parking along SE 7th Street daily between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
  
• One lane in each direction of SE 7th Street within the project limits will be closed during work hours.
  
• Traffic control personnel will direct traffic as needed.
  
• Access to driveways will be maintained unless work is taking place in the immediate area across from the driveway. Crews will attempt to coordinate with neighbors prior to the start of asphalt operations that will impact driveway access.
  
• Please follow posted signs and drive with caution in the area.
