A Snow Emergency has been declared by Lower Merion Township to be effective at 11:00 pm Saturday January 24, 20226 based on forecasted winter weather conditions.
Please stay off roadways during the snowstorm and until they have been cleared.
Major and primary roads will be plowed first, while residential secondary streets cannot be treated until storm conditions allow.
Where parking is allowed on both sides of the street, residents are reminded to park on the EVEN address side of the street during and after snowfall subsides.
If possible, please park in your driveway. No parking is allowed in a cul-de-sac until after plowing is completed, vehicles in violation may be towed.
No parking is allowed on designated snow emergency routes which are listed here Snow Emergency Routes and where Snow Emergency signage is posted, vehicles in violation may be towed.
Sidewalks must be cleared, 36 inches in width, within 24 hours of the end of snowfall.
Also, please clear corner sidewalk ramps to the street, clear snow from around fire hydrants and remember, it is illegal to throw or plow snow into the street.
Township Libraries are closed on Sunday January 25th.
