On May 12, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov met with Mauro Vieira, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federative Republic of Brazil.
During the meeting, the sides discussed in detail ways to intensify political dialogue between Uzbekistan and Brazil, expand trade, economic and investment cooperation, realise the untapped potential for cooperation, and develop relations in the fields of agriculture, logistics, education, cultural and humanitarian exchanges, and tourism.
The outcomes of the business forum and roundtable held during the visit with the participation of representatives of the business communities of Uzbekistan and Brazil were welcomed. Leading Brazilian companies and associations, such as Embraer, WEG, Petrobras, ABIEC, ABPA and ApexBrasil, held a series of meetings in B2B and B2G formats.
The sides also exchanged views on the prospects for cooperation within the framework of BRICS, the UN and other international organisations.
Brazil was emphasized as one of the important and reliable partners in Latin America. An agreement was reached to enrich cooperation between the two countries with practical projects and new initiatives.
It was emphasised that the visit of the Brazilian Foreign Minister to Uzbekistan would serve to bring bilateral relations to a new level.
