WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) released the following statement after her resolution designating October 30, 2025, as a "National Day of Remembrance for the Workers of the Nuclear Weapons Program of the United States" passed the Senate unanimously:
"It is my honor to lead the resolution designating October 30 as a National Day of Remembrance for nuclear workers, just as the Senate has done every year since 2009," said Senator Blackburn. "In Tennessee, we recognize and honor the many scientists, engineers, and other workers at Oak Ridge National Lab and the Y-12 National Security Complex. America is grateful for all of our nuclear workers and their service to our country."
