Chinese Ambassador to Kenya Guo Haiyan Visits Kwale, Kilifi and Mombasa

From October 15 to 17, H.E. Amb. Guo Haiyan visited Kwale, Kilifi, and Mombasa County, met with County Government officials, toured projects by Chinese enterprises, local livelihood initiatives, and held a meeting with representatives of the Chinese community in Mombasa.

Amb. Guo noted that subnational cooperation is an important part of China-Kenya relations and plays a vital role in building a China-Kenya Community with a Shared Future for the New Era. Amb. Guo reaffirmed that China stands ready to work with Kenya to fully implement the outcomes of the FOCAC Beijing Summit and the important consensus reached between the two heads of state, and to continuously advance exchanges and cooperation in various fields to achieve new progress.

Kenyan officials highly commended the development of China-Kenya relations and the achievements of friendly cooperation. They expressed appreciation for China's long-term support and assistance, and reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral ties, enhancing practical cooperation, and welcoming more Chinese enterprises and tourists to Kenya. Chinese representatives expressed their will to play an active role in uniting and serving fellow Chinese compatriots in Kenya.
