Vindman Votes to Keep Government Open, Federal Employees Paid

Washington, D.C. - Congressman Eugene Vindman (Va.-07) today released the following statement after voting for the Senate Amendment to H.R. 6500.

"Virginians know that federal workers are the backbone of our economy and our government. With tens of thousands of federal workers and contractors in Virginia's Seventh District, I am proud to vote to keep the government open.

"As a founding member of the bicameral Federal Workforce Caucus and husband of a former federal employee, I know that federal workers are essential to the success, safety, and stability of our nation.

"I will continue working across the aisle to deliver a budget that funds the government responsibly, aligns with our values, and tackles the out-of-control corruption we are seeing in Washington."
