BNB releases into circulation a gold
collector coin 'St Ivan of Rila'

On 12 October 2026 the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) will release into circulation a gold collector coin on the theme 'St Ivan of Rila' of the 'Bulgarian Iconography' series, nominal value 100 euro, year of issue 2026.

Upon its release into circulation, the coin will be sold at the price of 1508 euro.

The Bulgarian National Bank will be selling the coin at four counters in the central building of the BNB at Sofia, 1, Knyaz Alexander I Sq. and at four counters at the BNB Cash Centre in Sofia, 10, Mihail Tenev St.

Any client may purchase only one coin at the counters of the Bulgarian National Bank, regardless of whether on their own behalf and for their own account or on behalf and for the account of another person. Any client purchasing a coin on behalf and for the account of another person must present a notarised power of attorney for the purchase of this specific coin. If a client, as a natural person, purchases a coin at the BNB counters, that client may not purchase another coin as a representative of a legal entity, and this restriction applies to the opposite case as well. Coins are not sold to persons under 18 years of age.

By the end of the working day on 12 October 2026, the BNB will supply quantities of the new coin to Investbank AD, First Investment Bank AD, Texim Bank AD, Tokuda Bank AD, Municipal Bank AD and Central Cooperative Bank AD for sale in their offices and branches, and to the Bulgarian mint EAD.

The above banks will be selling the coin in the offices and branches on the following list.
