The SGMC Health Foundation announces the return of its beloved Lights of Love Campaign, a cherished holiday tradition that brings the community together to celebrate those who matter most while supporting extraordinary healthcare close to home.
This meaningful initiative invites individuals to make an end-of-year gift in honor or memory of someone special. Each contribution illuminates the Lights of Love Tree at SGMC Health Main, symbolizing generosity and heartfelt tribute. The tree will shine brightly throughout the holiday season, with every sparkling light representing a gift made to honor a loved one.
For a minimum gift of $25, participants can pay tribute to someone dear and direct their support to the area of SGMC Health that matters most to them, such as a specific hospital campus, service line, affiliate, or the area of greatest need. Donations may be made online at sgmcfoundation.org or mailed to the SGMC Health Foundation.
Honorees will be recognized on an electronic display in the SGMC Health Main lobby and on the Foundation's website, allowing the entire community to share in celebrating their legacy. Upon request, an acknowledgment card can be sent to the honoree's family, with gift amounts kept confidential. Donors contributing $250 or more per honoree will receive a beautifully engraved ornament featuring the individual's name, serving as a lasting keepsake of this special gesture.
"Lights of Love is about honoring connections and spreading hope during the holiday season," said Hilary Willis, Director of Development and Volunteer Engagement. "Your generosity not only celebrates someone meaningful in your life but also helps us deliver extraordinary care to those who need it most."
Whether you wish to honor a loved one's memory or celebrate someone dear, your gift to the Lights of Love Campaign brings health, hope, and healing to patients and families across our region. Every contribution strengthens the Foundation's mission to support quality healthcare at SGMC Health.
To participate, visit sgmcfoundation.org or mail your donation to SGMC Health Foundation at PO Box 1727, Valdosta, GA 31603. Please submit gifts by December 31, 2025.
