The states of Europe are joining forces in the field of artificial intelligence.

The adopted Prague Declaration represents a practical working agreement of the partner countries, the aim of which is to strengthen the position of the entire region within the European Union and to ensure that the participating states actively co-create new European rules for the artificial intelligence.

"Today we have taken an important step for the future of artificial intelligence in Europe. The adopted Prague Declaration represents a clear practical commitment to connect our infrastructure, share experience and coordinate attitudes towards the European Union. No country can stand alone in global competition. Today's signing of memoranda of nine countries is proof that we are immediately creating concrete project cooperation from these goals" said 1^st Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Karel Havlíček.

An essential part is the connection of national technological capacities, such as specialized AI Factories or planned Gigafactories. The declaration itself was directly followed by the signing of specific memoranda on AI cooperation, which put these principles into everyday practice.

"The results of today's summit show that our region can act confidently and unitedly. The adopted declaration and the signed memoranda give us a powerful tool for building the top infrastructure and developing talents. We are immediately turning the agreed framework into concrete pilot projects in key sectors of our economy" added the Government Commissioner for AI Lukáš Kačena.

The summit was organized by the Polish AI Chamber and the Czech National AI Platform in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Trade. In addition to the Czech Minister of Industry and Trade, Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Affairs Krzysztof Gawkowski, Slovak Minister of Investment, Regional Development and Informatization Samuel Migaľ and Hungarian Minister of Science and Technology Zoltán Tanács gathered at the ministerial meeting.

The expert program in the Martinický Palace was opened by the European Commissioner for Start-ups, Research and Innovation, Ekaterina Zaharieva. The European scene was further represented by the director of the EU AI Office Lucilla Sioli and MEP Diego Solier.

The Czech ecosystem was represented, for example, by Government Commissioner for AI Lukáš Kačena or CTU Chancellor Michal Pěchouček. In addition to the main stage, there were also closed meetings that focused on strategic areas, which are being fundamentally transformed by the artificial intelligence, i.e., healthcare, defence, the automotive industry and the development of IT infrastructure.

An important part of the summit was also the evaluation of the current fulfilment of the goals of the CEE AI Action Plan from June 2025, which set the path for the transformation of the region into one of the European centres of artificial intelligence.
