University of Minnesota Extension Hosting Farm Bill 2026 Decision Strategy Webinar on November 17, 2026, at 11:00

The University of Minnesota Extension will host an education webinar on November 17, 2026. Farmers and others involved in agriculture will have an opportunity to learn more about the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency's (FSA) Agriculture Risk Coverage (ARC) and Price Loss Coverage (PLC) programs and factors to consider when making elections for the 2026 crop year.

The webinar will highlight 2025 actual payments, changes to ARC and PLC and decision strategies for the 2026 crop year. Farmers can complete election and enrollment at their local USDA FSA office from now until December 11, 2026, for the 2026 crop year.

The ARC and PLC programs provide financial assistance to agricultural producers for substantial drops in crop prices or revenues and are vital economic safety nets for most American farms. Producers can elect coverage and enroll in crop-by-crop ARC-County or PLC, or ARC-Individual for the entire farm, for the 2026 crop year. Failure to make a valid election during the election period in 2026 will result in a continuation of the program elected for 2025 for all covered commodities with base acres on the farm, however the farm will be ineligible for payment. Enrollment (signed contract) is required for each year of the program. The webinar will highlight program information and review coverage options.

Tuesday November 17, 2026, 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (CST) ARC/PLC Webinar for Minnesota
