Public Visitation for Reverend Jesse Jackson on Thursday, February 26 and Friday, February 27

CHICAGO: The Chicago Office of Emergency Management and Communications (OEMC), Chicago Police Department (CPD), Chicago Fire Department (CFD), and various city, local and federal agencies are working closely to ensure public safety during the public visitation for Reverand Jesse Jackson beginning Thursday, February 26 through Friday, February 27. This includes street closures, security information and safety details. Additional details on the funeral services scheduled for March 6 and March 7 will be available at a later date.

OEMC and the Chicago Police Department will monitor events throughout the city and will coordinate resources as needed. Full and rolling street closures will be in effect intermittently in areas around the event. Traffic, public transportation and pedestrian impacts are expected. Motorists should plan extra time traveling in the affected areas. Traffic Control Aides (TCAs) will be on hand to mitigate traffic congestion.
