Fisher Funds has today announced that Paul Huxford will return to New Zealand to become its new Chief Investment Officer (CIO).
"Paul has had an impressive global career and is a highly strategic CIO. The tenure of any Chief Investment Officer makes a big mark on a managed funds business, and we look forward to the significant contribution Paul will make for our clients as Fisher Funds continues to evolve," said Simon Power, CEO of Fisher Funds.
Paul joins Fisher Funds from Macquarie Group in Australia, where he was Chief Investment Officer - Wealth. Prior to that, he spent five years as CIO at ANZ. His earlier career has taken him to Singapore and London for the likes of Macquarie Group and JP Morgan.
"I am delighted to return to New Zealand to join Fisher Funds. The business has a proud heritage, a strong culture, and an exceptional commitment to its clients. I look forward to leading the investment team and continuing to build on the strong track record of delivering for the hundreds of thousands of Kiwis who put their trust in us," said Paul Huxford.
Paul will return to New Zealand and start the role in mid-November. He replaces Ashley Gardyne (currently Acting CIO), who will move to the role of Head of Global Equities.
