On July 15, 2026, just after 2:30 p.m., East District General Patrol officers responded to a housing complex in the 300 block of Sutton Avenue for the report of a fire.
No injuries were reported as a result of the fire and damage was estimated at approximately $200,000. Investigators determined that the fire was deliberately set by a tenant who after setting the fire, left the area.
The Major Crimes Unit assumed the investigation and a suspect was identified.
On September 8, 2026, a 41-year-old man was arrested without incident.
Joshua Angelo HOURIE, (41), has been charged with Arson with Disregard for Human Life x 2 and was detained in custody.
