The rapid advancement of AI, coupled with the expanding availability of omics and surveillance data, is transforming the landscape of food safety, animal, and plant health systems.
This conference will explore how AI and advanced omic sciences (genomics, metagenomics, metabolomics, transcriptomics, etc.) can revolutionize detection, monitoring, and surveillance across the food supply chain. It will also address the integration of AI-based technologies to enhance risk assessment, predictive modelling, and data-driven decision-making.
With the adoption of the EU AI Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689), discussions will emphasize transparency, robustness, and responsible AI use. Participants will gain insights from European institutions such as EFSA, ANSES, BfR, DTU-Food as well as international institutions and academic experts on the current state of AI development-clarifying expectations versus real-world capabilities and drawbacks.
Join us to shape the future of AI-powered, science-driven health surveillance systems !
Participation will be possible on-line and on-site. All presentations will be in English. Please note that due to the limited capacity of the meeting room, priority for on-site participation shall be given to representatives of partner agencies and their guests. More information and the link for registration to this free event will be made available soon.
