Before Courtney Longhi started selling golf apparel for little ones, she and her husband were figuring out how to keep playing golf with their then-infant son.
They brought their oldest son to the course in a stroller, took him along for cart rides and handed him back and forth between shots. Around his first birthday, he began swinging a club himself.
After their second son arrived, Longhi noticed something missing from the family's golf routine: the clothes.
Golf-themed baby outfits were easy enough to find but the performance polos she wanted-made in sizes small enough for a baby-were another matter entirely.
That search became the starting point for Little Chipper Golf, a family business creating polo onesies, toddler apparel, hats and golf-themed gifts. The brand was officially filed as a trademark by Longhi in November 2025 and the first year of business saw tremendous growth and popularity.
"We wanted to create real golf apparel for the littlest golfers and give families another way to bring their kids into the game from the very beginning," Longhi told MyGolfSpy.

"A polo onesie built like dad's shirt, just sized for a 10-month-old in diapers."
A golf polo, with room for a diaper
Longhi's point is that there is a difference between clothing that references golf and clothing that resembles what golfers wear.
Yes, there is a par-5-sized gap between the two.
"We put a lot of time and intention into developing our products because we didn't want to simply put golf prints on baby clothes," she said. "We wanted to create actual golf apparel, just in really little sizes."
Getting there involved more than shrinking an adult shirt.
According to Longhi, the team developed its own measurements, proportions and fit rather than selecting an existing performance polo onesie from a manufacturer's catalog.
"We measured every size, worked through the fit and proportions, selected our fabric and adjusted the details until we had exactly what we wanted."
The company's Tee Time onesie polo has an 84-percent polyester, 16-percent Spandex blend, four-way stretch and snap closures for diaper changes. It costs $44.99 with available sizes from 0-3 months through 18-24 months. Toddler polos extend the range into 2T-5T.
The snaps accommodate the baby wonderfully but the collar, fabric and prints are intended to connect the outfit to the game. That's really the heart of the matter here.
Little Chipper was kind enough to send me a matching Tees & Greens polo-and-onesie set for my 10-month-old son and me. The material is stretchy and feels noticeably higher in quality than the previous matching sets I'd worn with him.
Longhi describes the idea as "made like Dad's, just smaller." I absolutely felt that. My son's polo was exactly if you were to endeavor for him to play golf while looking like a real golfer.
Perhaps the strongest compliment I can give is that we ended up dressing my son in that outfit many times, even when we weren't matching. It is simply a great, high-quality onesie that was easy to get him in and out of-and, of course, he looked dashing in it.
It was also the first time he wore a hat that fit proportionately to his head. We had attempted multiple bucket hats and ball caps but the Little Chipper hat was the only one to stay on his head.
It is a real golf outfit for the tiniest of humans!
