With New Midtown Bookstore, the Renaissance of Barnes & Noble Gathers Pace in Miami10/07/2026

Author LJ Shen to Host Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony and Book Signing at the Grand Opening at 10AM on Wednesday, October 14^th, 2026

Miami, FL - October 7^th, 2026 -Barnes & Noble is very pleased to announce the opening of a new bookstore in Midtown Miami on Wednesday, October 14^th 2026. The new store is the first location for the bookseller in Midtown Miami. It is located on the ground floor of the Collection at Midtown Miami complex, 3201 N Miami Ave Suite 111, in the former West Elm space, across from Nordstrom Rack and situated in the heart of the Miami Design District.

The new Barnes & Noble will officially open to the public at 10AM Eastern on Wednesday 14^th October, with local author LJ Shen cutting the ribbon and signing copies of her acclaimed book, Fallen Rook. Costume Character Cat in the Hat will also join the festivities and host special story time events over the weekend.

The design of the Miami store showcases the ambition of Barnes & Noble to create exceptional local bookstores that marry the best traditions of independent bookselling with the resources of the historic chain. The new store extends to more than 12,000 square feet, with an expansive range of books complemented by a strong offering of toys, games, vinyl, magazines, stationery and gift items, and more.

The new Miami bookstore is emblematic of the renaissance of Barnes & Noble. It is the 21^st new store to open in Florida since the company was taken private in 2019, following a decade of falling store numbers. Across the United States, Barnes & Noble now boasts over 725 bookstores, having fallen below 600 stores as recently as 2023.

Barnes & Noble Premium and Rewards Members will earn double stamps on all purchases made between October 14^th and 18^th. Customers who are not yet Members are encouraged to sign up and start earning stamps and rewards right away.
