Westerman Confirmed Chairman for 119th Congress

This week, the Republican Conference ratified a resolution confirming U.S. Rep. Bruce Westerman (R-Ark.) as chairman of the House Committee on Natural Resources for the 119th Congress. Chairman Westerman issued the following statement in response:

"It's an honor to be re-elected to lead this committee in the 119th Congress. I look forward to building on our work in the 118th and continuing to produce science-based, commonsense policy that puts conservatives back in conservation. This committee is on the front lines of issues that touch the lives of every American, from lowering energy costs to responsible wildlife management, support for land users and combatting government overreach. We stand ready to make meaningful change with our new, unified Republican government, working with President Trump to pass legislation that unleashes domestic energy production and restores our global energy dominance. America's best years are yet to come, and this committee stands ready to make it happen."
