Resurfacing Project Scheduled in Montgomery County…

HANNIBAL - Weather permitting, a resurfacing project is scheduled to begin on Missouri Route 19 in Montgomery County, from 0.2 mile north of Montgomery City to 1.2 miles south of Missouri Route 94 near McKittrick. The length of the improvement is approximately 21 miles.

The initial phase of the project will include guardrail work, which is scheduled to begin as early as August 11. Weather permitting, resurfacing operations are tentatively scheduled to begin as early as August 25.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane with a 10-foot width restriction in place at the location where crews are actively working. Flaggers and a pilot car will be utilized to direct motorists through the work zone.

MoDOT will alert the public about the project through signs, message boards, news releases and social media. All work is weather dependent and schedules are subject to change.

The $5.4M contract was awarded last year to Magruder Paving, LLC of Troy, Missouri. All work is scheduled to be completed by November 1, 2025.
