Banyan Software is pleased to announce the acquisition of ITG Informação, Tecnologia e Gerência ("ITG"), a leading provider of back-office compliance software to Brazil's insurance industry. Founded in 1986 by Mauro Sapiro, Jose Ernesto Passos and Valeria Bastos and headquartered in São Paulo, ITG serves most of Brazil's largest insurers and reinsurers. The business will continue to operate as ITG.

ITG's platform is embedded in the monthly operations of Brazilian insurers and reinsurers, who rely on it to meet the filing obligations set by SUSEP, the federal insurance regulator. Its 30-plus modules span regulatory reporting, statutory accounting and tax filings including SPED and REINF, and treasury and payment operations, and it is the only integrated platform in Brazil covering all three. ITG serves its customers regardless of which policy administration system they run, and will operate as a standalone Banyan company under Mauro Sapiro, who continues as Chief Executive Officer.
