Sierra Club Colorado Endorses Phil Weiser for Governor

Denver, CO - Today the Sierra Club Colorado Chapter announced its endorsement of Attorney General Phil Weiser for Governor of Colorado, a candidate who has demonstrated a clear commitment to Coloradans, a track record of proven leadership, and understands the urgency surrounding our climate.

While serving as Attorney General, Phil Weiser fought to hold companies that contaminated our water with "forever chemicals" to account in court, defended Colorado's clean air laws, fought to uphold strong federal methane standards, and protected the right to set tougher vehicle emissions standards. Currently, Weiser is leading a lawsuit against the Trump administration's illegal emergency coal orders. These important accomplishments help lay the groundwork for future Governor Weiser to hold polluters accountable, meet Colorado's emission reduction goals and support renewable energy projects across the state.
