AACSB International has extended its accreditation for Henderson State University's College of Business. AACSB is the global standard-setting body for business education.
"Henderson's commitment to maintaining its AACSB accreditation demonstrates that we are serious about delivering a quality education and constantly improving," said Dr. Nathan Campbell, dean of Henderson's College of Business. "We are dedicated to ensuring our students have the skills they need to succeed in their careers."
Campbell said only six percent of the world's business schools have earned this accreditation which demands a rigorous process that includes an in-depth assessment of each program. The standards require excellence in areas relating to strategic management and innovation, research, and teaching and learning.
"Graduates of our programs have gone on to become successful CEOs, CFOs, college presidents, faculty, financial advisors, lawyers, CPAs and entrepreneurs," Campbell said. "When prospective students are trying to make a decision on which business school to attend, the AACSB seal ensures they will receive a top-quality experience."
Henderson's College of Business received its initial AACSB accreditation in June 1998.
AACSB now has 1,055 accredited institutions in more than 69 countries and territories.
"The commitment to earning accreditation is a true reflection of each school's dedication - not only to its students, alumni network, and greater business community - but to society as a whole," said Stephanie Bryant, executive vice president and global chief accreditation officer at AACSB. "Achieving this milestone ensures greater access to high-quality business education for learners around the world and businesses seeking top talent."
