Stewart’s celebrates opening of newly constructed Norwich shop

Stewart's Shops has a new, larger shop in Norwich with more space for fresh sandwiches, pizza, groceries, beverages, ice cream and fueling options.

Located at 4823 Route 23 in Norwich in New York's Southern Tier, the new 4,500-square-foot shop represents a $3.3 million investment in the community.

Besides an expanded grocery line and new sandwich station, the Norwich shop also introduced a coffee bar.

"We have a lot more space. Sandwiches and breakfast empanadas are flying out the door and the coffee bar has sparked a lot of excitement," said Shop manager Suanne Brown. "Customers are excited to add their own chocolate or caramel and make coffee just the way they like it."

To celebrate the opening of the new shop, Stewart's donated $2,000 to the Norwich YMCA to support its summer camp.

Stewart's also donated $1,000 to help Norwich High School purchase athletic equipment plus 150 egg certificates and 150 gallon milk certificates to support the school's backpack program.
