Street Closure - Weber Avenue

Street Closure - Weber Avenue

Published on August 10, 2026

Beginning on Monday, August 17, 2026, North Weber Avenue will be closed at Third Street to allow crews to make railroad crossing improvements as part of the Downtown Whistle Reduction Project. Third Street will also be closed just east of Weber Avenue as part of this work. Traffic should utilize Cliff Avenue as an alternate route.

Work will include upgrades to railroad warning systems, installation of crossing gates and signal equipment, roadway modifications, and median improvements designed to meet federal quiet zone safety requirements.

This project is anticipated to be completed in mid-to-late October 2026.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
