The Department of Health and Human Services yesterday launched a national plan focused on kidney care. HHS said the plan would address the root cause of kidney disease and identify where federal actions can improve care. The plan will focus on methods to prevent kidney failure, improve dialysis care, expand patient choice for care and reform the transplant system. HHS said the plan advances a 2019 executive order issued under the previous Trump administration, "Advancing American Kidney Health."
