Cordova Road Stormwater Improvements Project

The City of Fort Lauderdale and Southeastern Engineering Contractors are making improvements to the stormwater system at 721 Cordova Road in Rio Vista. This project includes:

  • Installing 175 feet of new 15-inch drainage pipe
  • Installing one new catch basin and two storm manholes
  • Restoring impacted asphalt and landscaping

Construction will begin on Monday, March 30, 2026, and is expected to be completed by Friday, April 10, 2026. Work will take place Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. This schedule is subject to change based on inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Traffic Impacts

  • Cordova Road will be open to local traffic only between SE 9th Street and SE 7th Street daily during work hours.
  • Through traffic will be detoured to Ponce de Leon Drive.
  • Traffic control personnel will direct traffic near the work area daily during work hours.
  • Please follow posted signs and drive with caution in the area.
