TRAFFIC ALERT - New Castle County - I-95/Rt 896 Interchange Upcoming Closures
The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces to motorists there will be daytime lane closures on I-95 southbound for concrete demolition (Tue. - Thu.). There will be overnight southbound I-95 multi-lane closures (Sun. - Thu.) and EZPass/Cash Lane closures (Sun. and Thu.) for milling and paving. There will be overnight lane closures on northbound and southbound Rt 896 for pavement striping and manhole adjustments (Mon. - Wed.). There will be continuous lanes shifts on the southbound Rt 896 to northbound I-95 on-ramp (Mon. - Wed.) for paving. There will be overnight lane closures on northbound and southbound Rt 72 for bridge work (Mon. - Thu.).

· Tuesday, May 12th through Thursday, May 14th: Daytime Lane Closure, Southbound I-95, from the Welcome Center to the Rt 896 Interchange (Tue. & Wed. 5AM - 5PM; Thu. 5AM - 3PM)
· Sunday, May 10th through Thursday, May 14th: Overnight Multi-lane Closure, Southbound I-95, from the Welcome Center to the Toll Plaza.
o Sunday, May 10th: Rt 896 Interchange to the Toll Plaza (Double Lane 7PM - 6AM; Triple Lane 11PM - 4AM). EZPass Lanes closed.
o Monday, May 11th: Rt 896 Interchange to the Toll Plaza (Single Lane 5PM; Double Lane 7PM; Triple Lane 10PM - 6AM). EZPass Lanes closed.
o Tuesday, May 12th: Welcome Center to Rt 896 Interchange (Single Lane 5PM; Double Lane 7PM; Triple Lane 10PM - 6AM).
o Wednesday, May 13th: Rt 896 Interchange to the Toll Plaza (Single Lane 5PM; Double Lane 7PM; Triple Lane 10PM - 6AM). Cash lanes closed.
o Thursday, May 14th: Rt 896 Interchange to the Toll Plaza (Single Lane 5PM; Double Lane 7PM, Triple Lane 10PM - 6AM). Cash lanes closed.
