Marine Science Center’s Wildlife Festival Offers Wild Day of Family Fun

Get ready to discover your wild side at the Marine Science Center's 2026 Wildlife Festival from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3.

The Marine Science Center, 100 Lighthouse Drive in Ponce Inlet, will come alive with free, family-friendly activities celebrating Florida's incredible wildlife, natural habitats and the importance of conservation.

Whether you're a lifelong wildlife lover or simply looking for a fun way to spend a Saturday with the family, the Wildlife Festival offers something for everyone. Guests of all ages can get up close with fascinating animals, learn from wildlife experts, explore hands-on activities and connect with local organizations working to protect Florida's natural treasures.

Festival highlights include:

• Shark Tooth Hunt: Grab your gear and search for your very own piece of Florida's prehistoric past during this popular family activity.
• Live Wildlife Presentations: Discover fascinating facts about Florida's native animals and learn more about the wildlife that calls the state home.
• Animal Meet & Greets: Get an up-close look at some incredible animals while learning about their unique behaviors, habitats and conservation needs.
• Kids' Activities: Young explorers can get hands-on with fun activities designed to spark curiosity and encourage a love of the natural world.
• Live Music: Enjoy live music throughout the festival as you explore everything the Marine Science Center has to offer.
• Environmental Vendors: Meet local environmental organizations, discover conservation resources and find out how you can help protect Florida's wildlife and wild places.

Parking and transportation: Free event parking will be available at Lighthouse Point Park. Additional event parking will be available at the 7-Eleven at 4618 S. Atlantic Ave. in Ponce Inlet. Shuttles will run continuously from the 7-Eleven parking area to the Marine Science Center throughout the event.

The Wildlife Festival is a chance to learn something new, make memories with family and friends, and celebrate the incredible animals and habitats found throughout Florida, all while enjoying a fun-filled day at the Marine Science Center.
