GREENSBORO, NC (March 17, 2026) - Greensboro Police arrested a 19-year-old man Tuesday in connection with a shooting on Hahns Lane late Monday night.
Doneal Clifford Belo Jr. was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, a felony, and also with discharging a firearm in the city, a misdemeanor. He is in the Guilford County Jail on $150,000 bond.
At approximately 10:12 p.m. Monday, a caller told 911 dispatchers that a shooting occurred in the 3900 block of Hahns Lane. A preliminary investigation indicates that an altercation led to Belo firing shots at another man, who was taken by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment of an injury that appeared non-life-threatening.
After the shooting, GPD's Violent Crime Reduction Team (VCRT) detectives located Belo in the area of Apache Street and Avalon Road and took him into custody without incident.
