Applications open for Oakland Community Health Network board vacancies
January 14, 2026, OAKLAND COUNTY, MI.- The Oakland County Board of Commissioners is accepting applications to fill two vacant seats on the 12-member Oakland Community Health Network (OCHN) board. There is one vacancy for a member of the general public and one for a primary consumer of mental health services.
The OCHN leads a provider service network at more than 400 service sites across Oakland County and manages a $500 million budget. The goal of the OCHN is to ensure youth and adults who have an intellectual or developmental disability, mental health challenge, or substance use disorder have access to support and services that will improve their health, quality of life, and opportunities that lead to living independent, self-directed lives. The OCHN is a public governmental entity that is legally separate from the county.
The general public position is a three-year term, beginning April 1, 2026, through March 31, 2029. The primary consumer of mental health services position is a partial term, beginning March 11, 2026, through March 31, 2028. Applicants must be residents of Oakland County and at least 18 years of age. Those selected receive $90 per diem and mileage reimbursement. Members must attend required meetings.
The deadline for applications is 4:30 p.m. on Friday, January 30 and may be submitted online at forms.oakgov.com/85. Please select the position for either "General Public" or "Primary Consumer of Mental Health Services" from the application form drop-down menu.
