PHOTO RELEASE: Tuberville Attends Auditorium Groundbreaking, AUSA Luncheon in Dothan

DOTHAN - Yesterday, U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) visited Dothan, where he attended the groundbreaking of the new auditorium at the Wiregrass Public Safety Center (WPSC) and spoke to the Fort Rucker-Wiregrass chapter of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA).

Sen. Tuberville helped secure nearly $8 million for the auditorium at the Wiregrass Public Safety Center in the FY2024 appropriations package. Yesterday, City of Dothan officials announced that they will be naming the auditorium in honor of Sen. Tuberville's father and World War II Veteran, Charles R. Tuberville Jr. During his visit to WPSC, Sen. Tuberville also spoke to a group of policy academy candidates in their first day of training.

"My dad was my hero, and a hero in the military too," said Sen. Tuberville of the naming announcement. "For the City of Dothan to name something after him here at the Wiregrass Public Safety Center is a great honor for my family. This place will be here for a long time, and I look forward to supporting continued growth of the Wiregrass Public Safety Center and the region as a whole."

At the AUSA luncheon, Sen. Tuberville spoke to nearly 600 service members, veterans, and local leaders about his work in Washington, D.C.
