Public Notice: Peabody Caballo Mining, LLC April 6 and April 17, 2022, Air Quality Division Exceptional Events Demonstrations Released for Public Comment

Peabody Caballo Mining, LLC April 6 and 17, 2022, Exceptional Events Demonstrations

The Wyoming Air Quality Division (AQD) will submit Exceptional Events Demonstrations for the Peabody Caballo Mining, LLC April 6 and 17, 2022, PM₁₀ exceedances attributed to the high wind events to EPA Region 8 in accordance with 40 CFR 50.14. The AQD is soliciting comments from the interested public on these Exceptional Events Demonstrations. The plan is available for public comment, and the public will be allowed a period of thirty (30) days to submit written comments. Public comments must be received no later than April 23, 2026. All comments received by the close of business on April 23, 2026, will be submitted to EPA's Region 8 along with the Exceptional Events Demonstrations and will be retained on file in the Cheyenne office.

Notice is hereby given that the State of Wyoming, Department of Environmental Quality, Air Quality Division, proposes to submit the Peabody Caballo Mining, LLC, April 6 and 17, 2022, for PM₁₀ exceedances to the EPA.
