Washington, D.C., Jan. 27, 2025 - FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) today announced the appointments of Rohit Kelkar, Kristen Litgen, Phil Smith and Anthony Usher as Managing Directors within the firm's Technology segment. In their respective regions, they will support global clients facing increased challenges in disputes and investigations and artificial intelligence implementations.

Mr. Kelkar, based in Houston, is a data scientist with 18 years of experience researching, developing and launching AI and machine learning solutions for legal and compliance use cases. In his new role, Mr. Kelkar will support the e-discovery innovation team, including leading ongoing testing and proprietary workflow development for IQ.AI by FTI TechnologyTM, AI offerings for disputes and investigations, antitrust and data breach response. Previously, Mr. Kelkar was Head of AI/ML Products at a software-as-a-service company focused on providing tools for legal and compliance departments and large law firms.
Ms. Litgen, based in Chicago, brings 25 years of experience in project, product and case management, e-discovery and document review. Drawing on deep expertise with data analytics and leveraging e-discovery solutions to streamline processes for clients, Ms. Litgen will provide project leadership for the development and implementation of AI and analytics solutions. Her previous roles include product manager and senior solution manager positions at multiple e-discovery solution providers, as well as a prior 14-year period as a Managing Director within FTI Technology.
Mr. Smith, who joins the FTI Technology team in Melbourne, Australia, brings nearly two decades of technical and consulting experience, assisting clients across Asia Pacific, the UK, Europe and the United States with solving large and complex data challenges in the context of legal and regulatory disputes. His focus will include AI solutions, working alongside FTI Technology's global team to develop practical implementations for advanced AI in a results-driven and defensible manner. Mr. Smith has led responses to some of Australia's most complex data challenges relating to royal commissions, regulatory responses, investigations, data breaches and other contentious disputes. Prior to joining FTI Technology, he led the e-discovery and data team for an international law firm.
In London, Mr. Usher will support technology services delivery across disputes and investigations in the UK and Europe. He will work closely with FTI Technology's data scientists and e-discovery teams to drive ongoing modernization of investigations methodologies, including responsible and accessible use of AI to enable process improvements. He joined the firm following 20 years in the public sector at HM Revenue & Customs, the UK's tax, payments and customs authority, where he was most recently Deputy Director, Head of Threat Management and part of the senior leadership team overseeing HMRC's Fraud Investigation Service. During his tenure at the agency, his responsibilities included directing response to serious and organized crime threats, managing a risk portfolio worth more than £6 billion annually, and overseeing relationships with law enforcement agencies and international partners.
