Update on Route K and Old Plank Road roundabout construction, Dec. 29

(COLUMBIA, MO)- The City of Columbia Public Works department is providing an update on phase three of construction for the roundabout at West Route K and West Old Plank Road.

Phase three of the project is expected to conclude by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31. A previous release had indicated the phase would end Dec. 26.

Pavement connecting surrounding streets to the roundabout has been poured. However, additional cure time is required before reopening Route K to through traffic to ensure a safe and durable roadway surface.

Once phase three is complete, Route K is expected to reopen to through traffic using the completed portion of the roundabout.

Drivers are encouraged to follow posted signage, obey detours and use caution in the work zone as construction continues.

Additional updates on the project will be shared as construction progresses.
