Multicultural Family Center to Be Closed to the Public on Friday, May 2 Due to Power Disruption

The Multicultural Family Center (MFC) will be closed to the public on Friday, May 2, when power to the facility will be turned off due to ongoing renovations on the building's second floor.

The MFC is expected to re-open to normal operations on Saturday, May 3. MFC staff will be contacting those facilitating or participating in individual programs scheduled for May 2 to make other arrangements.

Staff in the City of Dubuque's Office of Equity and Human Rights, which is housed in the MFC, will work remotely on Friday, May 2, and will be available by phone.

Parks and Recreation Department customer service staff that typically work at the MFC will be available by phone at 563-589-4263 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. No walk-in customer service appointments will be taken during the closure.

The renovations currently underway on the second floor of the Multicultural Family Center will eventually provide space to house the City of Dubuque's Office of Community Impact, which oversees the operation of the Multicultural Family Center.
