NOTICE OF DRAFT CHANGES ON NET METERING IN THE REGULATIONS OF THE REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA
The Regulatory Commission of Alaska (Commission) opens Docket R-24-003 to consider regulation changes in Title 3 of the Alaska Administrative Code at Chapter 50, dealing with the eligibility threshold for customer connection for net metering. Specifically, the Commission proposes to increase the net metering capacity limit set out in 3 AAC 50.910 from 1.5% to 20% of an electric utility's average retail demand.
You may comment on the proposed regulation changes, including the potential costs to private persons of complying with the proposed changes, by submitting written comments to the Commission at 701 W 8th Ave, Ste 300, Anchorage, AK 99501. Additionally, the Commission will accept comments submitted to the Commission's website at: http://rca.alaska.gov/RCAWeb/WhatsNew/PublicNoticesComments.aspx. Comments may also be submitted through the Alaska Online Public Notice System, by accessing this notice on the system and using the comment link. The comments must be received not later than 5 p.m. on November 12, 2024, and should reference Docket No. R-24-003.
