America: The Happy Trails Tour

2026 Wildflower! Student Art Contest - Apply by April 9

Wildflower! Arts & Music Festival invites students to create bold, colorful flower artwork inspired by the Pop Art Movement. For students K-6th grades, pick up a poster board at one of the pick-up/drop-off locations and enter your masterpiece for a chance to win a ribbon and tickets to the festival.

CityLine Night Market + Live Music - John Herbert (Rock/Pop/Country)

The CityLine Night Market returns on the second Friday of each month through December. Discover more than 30 booths featuring handmade and vintage goods, enjoy live music while you shop and soak in the atmosphere with friends and family.

"Over the River and Through the Woods"

Nick is a single, Italian American guy from New Jersey. His parents retired and moved to Florida, but that doesn't mean his family isn't still in Jersey. In fact, he sees both sets of his grandparents every Sunday for dinner. This is routine until he has to tell them that he's been offered a dream job. The news doesn't sit so well. Thus begins a series of schemes to keep Nick around.

CubeTroop: Learn to Solve the Rubik's Cube

The Richardson Public Library has the Rubik's cubes - you apply your problem-solving skills. Join the interactive fun of learning step-by-step strategies to solve Erno Rubik's famous cube. Beginners and intermediate cubers are welcome. This program is for kids ages 9-12 only. This is a three-week program, and attendees must be able to attend all three weeks.

Mother & Son Nerf Challenge - Register by April 10

Registration is open for an unforgettable night of Nerf battles for moms and their sons. This Nerf challenge includes a Nerf Battlezone and target shooting fun. Open to kids ages 6-14, who are accompanied by a mom, stepmom, grandma, aunt or other mother figure. Each participant (both son and mom) must be registered.

Ladysmith Black Mambazo

Ladysmith Black Mambazo, formed by Joseph Shabalala, is a Grammy-winning South African male choral group performing in traditional isicathamiya and mbube vocal styles. They gained international fame after collaborating with Paul Simon in his 1986 "Graceland" album and have since become cultural ambassadors of South African heritage through their prolific musical career.

Trash Bash

Richardson's annual Trash Bash event returns. Attendees can do things like properly dispose of used cooking oil and kitchen grease, pick up a free preparedness bag, donate items to Network of Community Ministries and donate used eyeglasses.

Note: The electronics recycling and document shredding event will not be held on Trash Bash Day. Instead, it will take place on Saturday, May 9 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at The Heights Church, 201 E. Renner Road.

Charter and Bond Election Open House

This open house will give residents the opportunity to learn and ask questions about the upcoming May 2 Bond and Charter Elections. The Richardson City Council voted in Feb. to call the Bond election, asking voters to consider five propositions totaling $223.4 million to fund infrastructure, public safety and parks recreation projects across the city.
