Residential Mosquito Treatments in Orange

The Orange County Mosquito and Vector Control District (OCMVCD) will be conducting an Ultra-Low Volume (ULV) adulticide treatment to address mosquito abundance and the risk of mosquito-borne disease in the cities of Anaheim and Orange. The applications will occur within an area near the cross streets of E. Katella Ave. and S. State College Blvd. (see attached map).

Treatments are scheduled for:

When: Wednesday - Friday | August 26th, 27th, and 28th

Time: Midnight to 5:30 a.m.

Treatment: Truck treatment with AquaDuet
If numbers persist or disease is present, treatments may continue throughout the biting season.

OCMVCD will be conducting the following notifications:

  • Residents subscribed to OCMVCD's notification system will be notified on Monday, August 24th, between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.
  • Social media platforms will be posting information on Monday, August 24th, between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.
  • Doorhangers will be distributed to homes in the treatment area Tuesday, August 18th to Friday, August 21st.

At the application rate this product will not harm:

  • People or pets, even if present during the application,
  • Fruit trees, vegetable gardens, or fishponds,
  • Bees, as the product is applied at a time when bees are not active.

There is no need to turn off air conditioning systems during the application.
