Nunn, Rollins Highlight Iowa Agriculture During Tour

DES MOINES - U.S. Representative Zach Nunn (IA-03) today welcomed U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins to Iowa for a tour focused on supporting the state's agriculture industry. Joined by Governor Kim Reynolds, U.S. Representative Mariannette Miller-Meeks, and Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig, Secretary Rollins and Rep. Nunn visited agribusinesses across Iowa to meet with farmers and hear firsthand about the challenges and opportunities facing Iowa agriculture.

"The hands, hearts, and hard work of Iowa's farmers feed and fuel the world. Iowa's producers have a fighter in Secretary Brooke Rollins, and I was honored to host her in Iowa today for critical discussions," said Rep. Nunn. "As a member of the House Agriculture Committee, I will always fight to ensure Iowa's farmers and producers are heard loud and clear."

Secretary Rollins, Rep. Nunn, Gov. Reynolds, Secretary Naig, and Rep. Miller-Meeks made the following stops during the Secretary's visit to Iowa:

• Elite Octane: The delegation started in Atlantic at Elite Octane, a state-of-the-art biofuels production facility, to emphasize the importance of biofuels as a homegrown energy solution.
• Manning Farm: Following their stop in Atlantic, the group then visited the Manning Farm, a family-owned hog and row crop operation, to discuss livestock production, conservation practices, and federal farm policy.
• Iowa Farm Bureau: The group ended the day with a roundtable with Iowa Farm Bureau members and the Iowa Agriculture Leaders Reception in Ankeny.
