SACRAMENTO, January 22, 2026 - CDFA is announcing two upcoming vacancies on the Registered Service Agency (RSA) Advisory Committee.
The committee is an advisory body to CDFA's Division of Measurement Standards (CDFA-DMS) in all matters concerning the registration of service agencies as authorized by the California Business and Professions Code.
CDFA-DMS' Registered Service Agency (RSA) Program is responsible for registering businesses and licensing their employees who, for hire or payment of any kind, repair weighing, measuring, and counting devices used for commercial purposes in this state.
The RSA Advisory Committee consists of seven members with three-year terms. Two positions, both representing the county sealers or directors of weights and measures, will become vacant on February 1, 2026, and March 1, 2026.
Applicants must demonstrate applied knowledge in the field of weights and measures and have either technical expertise with commercial weighing and/or measuring devices or general knowledge of the RSA industry.
Members are expected to be available to participate in each scheduled meeting throughout the year. Committee members receive no compensation but are entitled to payment for necessary travel expenses in accordance with the rules of the California Department of Human Resources.
